Canyon Creek PTA SAYS THANK YOU!
Our 2011-2012 school year is off to a great start! I want to thank each of you that gave to our Opt Out Program and our Language Enrichment Program! This donation drive eliminates the need for many small fundraising endeavors throughout the year that require our children to sell products from which we only receive a portion of the profits. Your donation is 100% tax deductible and goes directly to the operational funds of our PTA supporting our amazing programs! We are thankful for a 73% participation for the Opt Out Program and 65% participation for our Language Enrichment Program this year.
As the current budget is not fully funded with these monies, we are also excited this year to add another way for you to support your PTA while shopping for your favorite items via our web link to Amazon.com. If you use this link, a percentage (up to 8%) of the purchase price will then be given to the PTA. The key is linking through the PTA's website. This is such an easy way to contribute to the wonderful programs the PTA provides. I am proud to be a part of such an amazing group of motivated teachers, staff and parents. We are off to another stellar year for Canyon Creek Elementary and our PTA thanks to your support! Recent state legislation attempting to improve student safety requires any person wishing to volunteer agree to a Name Based Criminal History Check. This is in addition to the Raptor System, which compares all visitor names against sexual offender databases and is currently implemented at all RRISD campuses.
